Hello
I’m Emma Jaro, the owner of Bar PS Bar Performance & Ranch Horses. This all started as a little girl’s dream, and it’s been incredible to watch it grow into what it is today. I grew up riding, rodeoing, and showing cutting horses. While I enjoy the competitive side of the horse world, my heart is in the day-to-day work—gathering, doctoring, branding, and being out on the ranch.
Over the last several years, I’ve found my place in ranch work, and somewhere along the way I met David. He’s working hard to grow his cow–calf operation, and I’m focused on building the best broodmare band I can. We help each other, and it’s a way of life we’re grateful for.
We’re excited to keep growing and to build a true cattle and horse ranch together. Whether you’re here for a horse, a halter, or a saddle pad, we appreciate you taking the time to visit and hope we can help you in your search.

Raising Horses
I started raising horses in 2017 when I had the opportunity to take over my aunt's proven stallion for a year. I've had a lot of help and my program has changed significantly, but we have big plans and are excited about the future of our breeding program. We may not have a large band, but we are extremely proud of our mares and have a great deal of confidence in what they will produce.

Pulled Wool Saddle Pads
Long, demanding days in the saddle quickly showed us how important it is to have saddle pads that truly hold up and protect our horses. After hearing great things about pulled wool pads for years, I ordered a DIY kit from War Knot Wool in 2025 and have been hooked ever since.
These pads are made from 100% natural materials, by pulling wool in loops through a natural canvas grid. That design makes them highly breathable and allows the pad to move with the horse and gradually mold to your horse’s back. Wool naturally wicks moisture, helping manage sweat and regulate temperature—keeping your horse cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.
Pulled wool pads also help distribute weight and pressure more evenly and offer excellent shock absorption. Because wool is naturally antimicrobial, it resists mold and bacteria, making it more hygienic and gentler on the skin than many synthetic options. There are a lot of reasons we trust these pads, but it all comes down to one thing: they keep our horses comfortable on the job.
Halters Built to Work

I started making these halters because I needed something that was actually durable and built to last. I was riding a lot of horses, and some of them weren't the nicest or most experienced. The cheap feed-store halters weren't holding up. Sam Damele helped me get started making own. These halters in the big picture have saved me money, and when they get dirty, we just throw them in the washing machine and they come out looking brand new. We are so confident in the strength of our rope that we guarantee these halters will not break if a horse pulls back in one, provided it's in good shape before hand (not a chewed on lead rope or other weak point). If you prove us wrong, we will provide a replacement free of charge. With a wide range of colors to choose from, you can find the perfect match for your style and your horse.
